I am beyond excited to now be employed with Revolution Health, as the receptionist! I will look forward to talking to each of you when you call to make your appointments.
LPN - Lacy Thaxton
I graduated in 2004 from Kellogg Community College as an LPN. I started with Sturgis Hospital on the Medical-Surgical floor and was there for 7 years. I then transferred to Sturgis family medical offices for 8 years. I married my high school sweetheart Jamie. We have 2 children, Kaleb and Sarah, 3 dogs, and 1 cat. My heart has always been in caring for people and nursing has been the best and most rewarding path for me. I have been fortunate to be Jade Klingler’s nurse for the past 5 years at the Colon Medical Clinic. I’m looking forward and am grateful to start a new adventure at Revolution Health. Can’t wait to see you all and be your nurse.
FNP - Jade Klingler
Hello, I am Jade Klingler. I was born and raised in Sturgis. I have been married to Steve, since 2008 and we have 2 wonderful daughters Tatum and Jaxyn. I graduated from high school in 2000. I attended Glen Oaks Community College where I received my LPN and RN degrees.
I worked at Coldwater Hospital full time and Three Rivers hospital on an as-needed basis. While at Coldwater Hospital I worked in many areas Medical floor, Surgical floor, Pediatrics, Wound center, and Home health. I learned many things from each area I worked in and valued the insight and knowledge each brought. During this time I also started at Goshen College for my BSN (Bachelors in Nursing) and my MSN-FNP (Masters in Nursing).
After graduating with my MSN and passing my boards to be an FNP, I worked for Sturgis Hospital in the pain clinic, AM/PM Care, and General practice at different offices. I then was relocated to Colon Medical Clinic full time where I learned so much about healthcare in small communities. I am so proud to have served the Colon area and met some of the most amazing people in my life.
I am now very proud to be able to offer medical services to the great Sturgis area with Revolution Health. I believe that communities, families, and individuals can be highly effected with the right information, education, nutrition, follow up, prevention, and guidance. My goal is to be able to help as many in our community get to their ideal health.
I was born and raised in Sturgis and am proud to call this city and this state my home. After graduating from Sturgis High School in 2007, I studied at Ferris State University where I received a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. I worked for 4 years at Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids while I waited for my wife, Annie, to graduate from the Michigan School of Optometry. While in Grand Rapids I worked in a medical ICU downtown where I saw many discouraging health situations. I committed myself to work to prevent as much illness as I can in my lifetime; this is where I was inspired to become a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
After Annie graduated, we chose to move to Sturgis and join many of my family members in this community. Annie and I became licensed foster parents and we have enjoyed the privilege and challenge of fostering and parenting children. We have a biological daughter (Penny), a biological son (Jude), and currently a foster daughter.
I was employed at Sturgis Hospital in the ICU and ER while I studied at Goshen College, where I received my Master’s in Nursing. I am very excited to serve my community as an FNP! Although many diseases and conditions are inevitable, I believe so much can be prevented through education, prevention, dietary knowledge, and healthy lifestyles. I look forward to working with you to create, foster, and celebrate your health as well as the health of our community.
I grew up in Ohio and graduated from The Ohio State University for both my B.S. and M.S. degrees in 1999 and 2003. I admit I wasn’t exactly sure what I was getting into when I applied to the Family Nurse Practitioner program, as I had never heard of an NP! I did a little research, made an appointment for a checkup with an NP at the student health center, and then decided to give it a try. As it turns out, I made a great choice for my career. I have worked in several areas of healthcare, including acute care pediatric pain management, family practice/primary care, an inpatient hospitalist team, pediatric primary care, and in a handful of Emergency Departments. I particularly enjoy pediatrics and working with children. Helping them learn how to take care of their health from an early age as well as working with parents to educate and guide them is so fulfilling and rewarding to me. Kids are my favorite people!
I live near Sturgis with my two sons, and when I’m not hanging out with them I enjoy running, yoga, and reading as many books as possible. We also share our home with a yellow lab named Buster (who is my favorite running buddy), two cats, and two guinea pigs. I’ve been an animal lover my whole life, surely influenced by growing up on a farm. My kids and I love to travel and have adventures together! I am excited to once again work within the Sturgis community to help provide primary care.
OB/GYN NP-Carol Sharp
My name is Carol Sharp and I am an OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner. My career began at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids where I was a Labor and Delivery nurse before going back to school to become an NP. I loved L&D but knew that Women’s Health was my calling so here I am 30+ years later, still loving every minute of it! In 1993 we moved to Colon so my husband could help with the family farm, a “job” that he still enjoys to this day. Although I was reluctant in the beginning, raising my kids on the farm and the small town of Colon have made us all who we are today.
My son Luke works in sales but still farms with his dad, cousin, and uncles and will be a Dad in December which means I will be a grandma!!! To say I am excited is an understatement.!
My daughter Courtney is a dentist living in Austin Texas and just finished 5 years in the Army. We are so proud of her service to our country but boy is she glad to be done! She is newly engaged but too busy to plan a wedding. Time will tell!
In March of last year, I was forced into a temporary retirement from my job with Dr. Clark. The closing of our wonderful OB floor at Sturgis Hospital then our private office came as a shock to us all but life goes on. The opportunity to work with new amazing people has been light at the end of the tunnel for me. I have managed to stay plenty busy with my own dogs, horses, chickens, and cats but my real passion is volunteering at our local Animal Control. I walk dogs for the agency but am also a huge advocate for adoption, spay/neutering, and animal welfare. My experiences at Animal Control have changed me for the better…. very good for my soul. Looking forward to seeing all the wonderful women in our community who deserve affordable, quality, and accessible care.
